Drain Cleaning service in Phoenix, AZ

Every drain in your Phoenix home has a job: move water and waste out. When that job stops getting done — when the kitchen sink fills up, the shower pools around your ankles, or the toilet gurgles and won't flush — you need someone who shows up with the right equipment and clears it. That's what we do. Call (602) 858-7303 and we'll dispatch a technician to your home.

Why Drains Clog Faster in Phoenix

Phoenix has some of the hardest water in the country. The City of Phoenix Water Services reports average hardness between 15 and 20 grains per gallon — nearly double what most U.S. cities see. That calcium and magnesite doesn't just leave white spots on your shower glass. It deposits inside your drain pipes, layer by layer, year after year, slowly narrowing the opening until anything — a clump of hair, a bit of food, a paper towel — catches and creates a full blockage.

Add to that the monsoon season reality. July through September, sudden downpours dump inches of rain in minutes. That water pushes dirt, debris, and sediment into cleanouts and floor drains — especially in homes across north Phoenix, Cave Creek, and the foothills where lot grading directs storm runoff toward the house.

And then there are the trees. Mesquite, palo verde, and ficus roots are drawn to the moisture in sewer lines. In neighborhoods like Arcadia, Encanto, Willo, and Coronado — where mature trees and pre-1980 clay pipes coexist — root intrusion is the number one cause of recurring drain problems. The roots enter through pipe joints, grow inside the line, and catch everything that flows past.

Our Drain Cleaning Process

We don't guess. Every drain cleaning call starts with a conversation about what's happening — which fixtures are affected, how long the problem has been going on, and whether it's happened before. That tells us whether we're dealing with a simple fixture clog or something deeper in the system.

For single-fixture clogs — one sink, one shower, one bathtub — we bring a handheld or medium-duty drum machine with the appropriate cable diameter. A 1/4-inch cable for bathroom sink drains. A 5/16-inch cable for shower and tub drains. A 3/8-inch cable for kitchen sinks and floor drains. Each cable gets a cutting head matched to the pipe size and type of blockage.

We feed the cable through the drain, feel the blockage, and cut through it. Then we flush the line with hot water to confirm full flow. If the clog is stubborn or the line feels rough (a sign of mineral scaling or root intrusion), we'll recommend a camera inspection to see exactly what we're dealing with.

For deeper blockages — clogs beyond the P-trap, in the branch line or further — we access the line through a cleanout and use a full-size drum machine with 1/2-inch or 5/8-inch cable. These machines have enough torque and reach to clear blockages 50 to 100 feet into the line.

What We Clear

Grease buildup in kitchen drain lines. Hair, soap scum, and toothpaste in bathroom drains. Mineral scale from hard water throughout the system. Root intrusion in older clay and cast-iron pipes. Foreign objects — toys, bottle caps, feminine hygiene products, "flushable" wipes that don't actually break down. We've seen it all in over 10,000 Phoenix-area drain calls.

When Drain Cleaning Isn't Enough

Sometimes a cable machine clears the blockage but the camera reveals a bigger problem: a bellied pipe section where waste collects, a cracked joint that roots keep re-entering, or a pipe that's lost its structural integrity. When that happens, we don't upsell — we show you the camera footage, explain what's happening, and give you honest options. Sometimes the right answer is annual maintenance cleaning. Sometimes it's hydro jetting to restore full diameter. And sometimes, yes, it's a pipe repair or replacement. We'll tell you which.
